Nate Ross is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) in Washington, DC and also holds a Licensed Social Worker Associate Advanced (LSWAA) in Washington State. Nate completed his graduate studies at The Catholic University of America earning a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Social Work. He obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of the District of Columbia, majoring in Psychology. Nate has provided experienced clinical supports and services to individuals challenged with mental health and physical health disparities.

As a clinician, Nate’s approach to counseling is to create a safe space for growth and healing. I believe that growth and healing happen when people recognize that they have a circle of care (including clinicians) that show them empathy and support, that they can rely on and recognize that they have their best interests in mind. My therapeutic techniques include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy to create an atmosphere where the client recognizes that they are in control of their therapeutic experience.

I assist in working with clients dealing with a variety of mental health disorders, and life circumstances that bring them into counseling. Several years of work with adults has added to my array of assistance experiences including working with clients who have experienced anxiety, depression, conflict resolution, relationship changes, communication skills, and more.

One of the best parts of therapy is being able to see a client through choices and transitions in their thought processes, leading to positive actions and life choices. I am looking forward to working with you through that process. I offer sliding scale therapy sessions for patients without insurance to remove that obstacle of receiving mental health care.
