Executive functioning testing is a set of tests used to evaluate higher-level cognitive functions. There are many testing tools used for different cognitive functions, in most cases each test measures one skill at a time such as; attention, impulse control, working memory, organizing and planning, idea formation, and moving between tasks.

A memory test, for example is a test you take that shows how well you remember things said and shown to you.

After your evaluation, your psychologist for psychological testing will put together the tests she thinks are the most applicable to you, review the results, and most likely refer you to talk with others on your mental health team.
