Whitney received her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Walla Walla University, and her bachelors from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, in Health and Wellness Promotion. She currently practices in Virginia as an LMSW. Whitney has helped those struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and and life transitions. She works with adults of all ages, and has extensive experience working with young adults and teens. Whitney has a passion for health and wellness, and a strong background in nutrition. She utilizes a wholistic approach in therapy, and employs a variety of modalities, including CBT, integrative, solution focused, and psychodynamic therapy.
Whitney meets patients where they are at, and tailors her therapeutic approach based on the patient, their struggles, goals, and strengths. She believes that all patients can reach their full potential, and utilizes a strengths based approach in this process.
When Whitney is not in the office, she enjoys running, spending time in nature and with her two dogs, cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
