R. Veronica Castro Galick is Family Nurse Practitioner who has a passion for preventive care. She received her undergraduate nursing degree from Austin Peay State University and graduate nursing degree from Maryland University. Veronica served as a staff nurse in the United States Army in Medical/Surgical setting, and she often served as a team leader and charge nurse. She served in the Bariatrics Surgery Service at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas which was the Department of Defense (DoD) first Bariatric Center of Excellence accredited by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). She also has experience as an Army Public Health Nurse and retired after 23 years of service. She holds a national board certification with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Veronica is a member of the Obesity Society and has earned a certificate of training in Obesity Management in Primary Care. She enjoys spending time with her husband, son and golden retriever.
