Phillip is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned his Master of Social Work from Howard University, home to the 12th-ranked program in the United States. He specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and strength-based approaches. He believes that meaningful change begins by recognizing and harnessing our inner strength. Phillip earned his degree in May 2024 and has several years of experience working in the D.C. school system and with non-profits focused on mental health.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Phillip received a full athletic scholarship to play Division I American football. His mental health struggles in the high-pressure sports environment have shaped his therapeutic approach, especially in his work with athletes. Phillip brings high energy and enthusiasm to his sessions, combining sports psychology, exercise, and well-being into personalized treatment plans. While he provides therapy to individuals from all walks of life, his specialty lies in supporting athletes who face unique mental health challenges.
