Mary Jouett Rodman, LCSW is a graduate from Jane Addams College of Social Work at The University of Illinois at Chicago. Mary encompasses a holistic approach when identifying and treating macro and micro needs of the community. Mary is focused on creating sustainable healing by incorporating strength-based systems of care. Her treatment approach as a clinical social worker includes motivational interviewing, integration of self-compassion principles, embodied practices and person-centered treatment approach. Mary has experience working with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar, borderline personality disorders, substance abuse, intermittent explosive disorder, eating disorders, body dysmorphic disorder and a wide array of various mental health disorders. Mary also has two years of experience with providing new clinicians clinical supervision. Mary also led a team of clinical and crisis workers in two counties for the Comprehensive Community Based Youth Services in Illinois. Mary also has previously attended a symposium at Northwestern University on trauma informed care and recently took extensive training with Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders. Mary also holds a certification with the American Association of Bariatric Counselors. Mary has approximately 20 years of social work experience in various clinical and community related areas including runaway/displaced youth, foster care, therapeutic day schools, and outpatient treatment.
