Lori Johns received her Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Andrews University and currently practices in Maryland as an LMSW. Lori has experience at both the macro and micro level- from developing community initiatives to working with individuals of all ages, recently specializing with older adults. She has helped those facing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and chronic medical issues. Lori has a passion for wellness and holistic approaches, utilizing a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing.
Lori has been described by patients and peers as kind, curious, laid back, and empathetic. She believes wholeness can be achieved through this journey of self-exploration and empowerment and feels honored to partner with you. Outside of the office, Lori enjoys travel, cooking, and reading by the fire. She looks for memorable ways to connect with family and friends.
