Dr. Robyn Resh Davinic is a licensed psychologist, practicing outpatient mental health therapy and psychological and neuropsychological assessments in Northern Virginia for over 20 years. Robyn conducts therapy with adults ages 20 and older using primarily a cognitive-behavioral orientation. She also utilizes theories and strategies such as; family systems theory, solution-focused therapy, and positive psychology including strengths-based therapy. She assists clients in identifying their feelings, and the negative self-talk that contributes to their emotional struggles and less than ideal behaviors. Dr. Resh Davinic works with clients to raise their self-awareness, develop coping skills, determine their short-term and longer-term goals, and enhance their emotional resiliency in times of stress. Dr. Resh Davinic’s patients describe her as empathetic, warm, down-to-earth, and caring.
Dr. Resh Davinic obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA in 1997 (APA approved). As part of her Ph.D. program at Drexel University, she completed her Clinical Psychology Internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School (APA approved). Dr. Resh Davinic went on to complete a rigorous 2-year Post-Doctoral Neuropsychological Residency at JFK Medical Center – JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute in NJ. She worked with inpatients and outpatients in the Neurology and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Departments. Dr. Resh Davinic worked for over 5 years at Kessler Rehabilitation Institute in NJ as a member of the medical team on the inpatient brain injury unit. In addition, she conducted outpatient Neuropsychological Evaluations and provided Cognitive Remediation Therapy with outpatients.
Dr. Davinic provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessments for adults. She has experience evaluating and treating individuals at all levels of neurocognitive compromise. She evaluates cognitive capabilities, executive functioning, attention/concentration, socio-emotional, personality, and behavioral functioning.
